Rules

A maximum of 35 guitarists of any age and nationality may participate, except

winners of past editions. Entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration will not be completed until the bank transfer has been made.

The deadline for registration is Sunday 15 August  2021 at 23:59 hours UTC+01:00.

On Monday, 16 August 2021, all the participants will be notified by e-mail of their admission.

The list of admitted participants will also be published on the website www.aguicex.com

1st round

It will consist of a video uploaded by the participant to the youtube.com platform with the

performance of a free repertoire with a duration not exceeding 6 minutes.

The deadline for uploading this video of the phase will be Sunday 22 August 2021 at

23:59 hours UTC+01:00. Videos published after this date will not be accepted.

On Sunday 29 August  2021, the list of contestants going to the final round will be published. The contestants will also be informed of the result via email.

Final phase

It will consist of a video uploaded by the participant to the youtube.com platform with the performance of a free repertoire with a duration not exceeding 20 minutes. No

pieces from the previous phase may be repeated. The deadline for uploading this video is Sunday 5 September 2021 at 23:59 UTC+01:00. No published videos will be accepted

after this date.

On Sunday 12  September 2021, the prizes of this competition will be published on the website aguicex.com

Characteristics of the videos

All videos submitted must be recorded in one shot, without cuts or editions. The view of the performer must be frontal and the illumination sufficient so that it can be seen the full time the whole body of the guitarist.

 Before the musical performance the contestant must present him or herself saying:

- Name of the contestant

- Name of the competition: "Arroyo de la luz International Competition”

- Phase in which you are: 1^st round or final.

- Works to be performed

In no way may there be any break between this presentation and the musical performance. Any video that does not cope with these premises will not be admitted.

The time limits of each phase of the competition refer only to the musical part.

 
  The participant must send a link to each video of the contest to be posted on youtube.com.

The name of the contestant, the name of the competition, must appear in the title of the video: "Arroyo de la luz Internacional competition" and the stage it is in: 1^st round or final.

 The description of the video must include the repertoire performed, name of the composer and the title of the piece(s).

 Participation in the competition implies the transfer to Aguicex of the rights of reproduction and distribution of photographic and recording material as provided for in the Property Law Intellectual through the means that are considered, all without any profit. Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these rules
